England's Lionesses beat Italy to make Euro 2025 final

They needed extra time and a penalty, but England made it past Italy in the semi-finals

England are through to the final of Euro 2025 after beating Italy 2-1 in the semi-final in Geneva.

Despite being the favourites going into the match, the Lionesses went behind in the first half thanks to a goal from Barbara Bonansea.

It took until the 96th minute for England to equalise, substitute Michelle Agyemang scoring to take the game to extra time.

Then late in extra time Chloe Kelly scored a penalty after Beth Mead was brought down in the box.

England will play the final on Sunday against either Germany or Spain, who play each other in the other semi-final tomorrow night.
