Race Across The World winners revealed after tense final leg

Travelling across the world by land and sea is no mean feat, but this year's Race Across The World contestants took it in their stride and have finally completed their epic journey. The huge journey took them thousands of miles between Palermo in Sicily and Lake Khövsgöl in northern Mongolia, with a budget of just £26 per person per day.

Starting off as five teams — Jo and Kush (best friends), Katie and Harrison (siblings), Andrew and Molly (father and daughter), Puja and Roshni (cousins) and Mark and Margo (in-laws) — Puja and Roshni were eliminated after leg three, when they arrived at Halfeti in South East Türkiye in last place.

Throughout the series fans have watched as the teams battle to finish each leg in first place. Siblings Katie and Harrison ended the first three legs in the top spot, but were gutted when they reached the end of the fourth leg in Tbilisi, Georgia, in fourth place.

Mark and Margo and Jo and Kush have also since taken turns at bagging the top spot.

Now in a nail-biting finish, the teams have arrived at their ultimate destination, Lake Khövsgöl in northern Mongolia, having navigated their way through a country which has inaccurate maps and limited public transport.

Who won Race Across The World series six?

In a very tense final leg, pals Jo and Kush took first place — making them the official winners of Race Across The World 2026. They were closely followed by runners up, father and daughter, Andrew and Molly. There were just three hours between first and second place.

Siblings Katie and Harrison came in third place, while Mark and his sister-in-law Margo came in fourth. Margo joked at the finish line that they'd come in "fashionably late".

There were eight legs in series six, the route included Italy, Greece, Türkiye, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. See the full list of legs below:

The final of Race Across The World was at 8pm on BBC One on 21st May 2026.

When is the reunion show?

Now that the teams have finished their epic journey, they will be returning for a reunion show, due to air straight after the final on BBC One (9pm on Thursday 21st May).
