The first trailer for the new ITV dating show My Mum, Your Dad has now been released. The show is coming to our screens at 9pm on Monday 11th September and is presented by Davina McCall, who also thought of the idea and pitched it to TV bosses.

My Mum, Your Dad will follow a group of single parents who have been nominated by their grown-up children to try and find a second chance at love.

However, there will be a major twist. Unknown to the parents, their children will be watching in 'The Bunker', where they can play matchmaker and decide their mum or dad's fate. In a trailer posted on social media, viewers can enjoy a first glimpse of the contestants and their children as they embark on the journey of finding love in a stunning country house.

Davina posted a video to her Instagram page where she shared her excitement for the show's upcoming launch. Captioning the post, she wrote: 'This is it ! Look @steven !!! It actually happened ❤️… midlife dating brought to you by @mymumyourdaduk…. Heartwarming, hilarious and heart breaking in equal measure . There is no prize money 💰 the prize is love ❤️ I’m having a party … r u ? Who is coming ? Tag them “My Mum Your Dad” on @itv and @itvxofficial on September 11th at 9 pm . Speaking on Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO podcast, Davina said: "I could fill a villa in Love Island with middle-aged people with the best back stories you have ever heard in your life. They’ve lived a life – they’re widows, they’re people who have been through horrific divorces.

"They are people who have split up with somebody and decided they want to try going out with somebody the same sex as them. They’re like interesting people. I’d watch that show."

Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality and Acquisitions said: “My Mum, Your Dad is set to be a relationship show with a difference, as we follow the emotional and inspiring journeys of single parents looking to find love once more. Packed full of heart and humour, we’re really excited to be bringing this brand new format to ITV1’s mainstream audience. With Davina at the helm, this will be a grown-up iteration of a series in the dating genre that, thus far, has largely been the preserve of younger viewers.”

My Mum, Your Dad will launch on Monday 11th September at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX. It will then air on weeknights for two weeks as viewers find out what the children have in store for their parents as they look for love.
