Perrie Edwards reveals adorable name of newborn with cute pic
The Little Mix singer welcomed her first child on Saturday 21st August

After giving birth to her first child on Saturday 21st August, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards and her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have now revealed more details, including their baby's cute name and gender.
28-year-old Perrie took to social media to confirm the adorable news that they had welcomed a son, writing: '2 weeks of loving you. I've never felt love like this before! Axel Oxlaide-Chamberlain.' The name, an anagram of his dad Alex's name, was met with lots of lovely comments on social media.
After Alex missed Liverpool's game against Burnley on Saturday for 'personal reasons', fans were convinced Perrie was in labour, with the couple going on to announce the birth of their little one on Sunday morning (22nd August).
Sharing the most adorable photos of baby Ox's hands and feet, Perrie told her loyal followers: 'Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21 ♥️'. (sic)
Proud dad Alex also shared the same set of images, adding: 'Welcome to the world little one 😍❤️ 21/08/21'. (sic)
Fans and friends of the showbiz couple were quick to comment on the cute post.
Perrie's Little Mix band mate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who is also due to give birth any moment now, commented: 'I am so proud of you and I love you so much 🥺 what an angel ❤️❤️😍😍'.
Jade Thirlwall added: '😭♥️ Proud of you always. Ly ✨'. (sic)
Jesy Nelson's ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes then wrote: 'Congrats team @alexoxchamberlain 🖤☺️', with Stacey Solomon writing: 'Omg congratulations darling love you lots and lots 😭😭😭😭😭'. (sic)

Alex proposed to Perrie during a luxury holiday together on the beach front! Taking to Instagram to share the news, Pez told her followers: 'Happy first Father's Day to the best Dadda Axel could ever wish for! ♥️'.
April 2024: Perrie opens up about the pair's long-distance relationship
Perrie opened up to us in an interview about how it was tough being in a long distance relationship, with Perrie here in the UK and Alex in Turkey. She told us: "Do you know what? I have to be honest, I'm not going to sugarcoat it, it's blooming hard," Perrie admitted. "It's REALLY hard. I'm struggling a bit with the Turkey situation.
"When he played for Arsenal it was great because he was just, you know, down the road, Liverpool, Manchester... Not that bad, but Turkey! Turkey is a little bit further and the thing is they're so busy, like they train every day practically, and he doesn't really get the time, so I have (to).
"Along with juggling my career, my child, and my relationship, I have to do it all, which is fun. So much fun! I also hate flying, so that's great," she joked. "But do you know what? We make it work, because we make it work for the ones we love. So it's fun, it's exciting, it still keeps it fresh, I think."

December 2024: Perrie released Christmas track with Alex and Axel in the music video
In December 2024, Perrie released new single 'Christmas Magic', alongside a very cute music video starring fiancé Alex and son Axel. In it, we see the family enjoying Christmas at home, with matching PJs, hot chocolates and other festive treats — giving us a little glimpse into what life is like at Christmas for the adorable little family.
September 2025: Perrie and Alex announce second pregnancy
On 6th September 2025, Perrie and Alex announced they were expecting another baby together! Incorporating her single 'If He Wanted To He Would' into the announcement, Perrie was joined by Alex and her son Axel in the adorable video, as she wrote: 'Guess what hunnies… ♥️'. (sic)
January 2026: The couple's second child arrive
On 17th January, Perrie and Alex announced the new arrival of their baby girl Alanis Valentine. The singer shared a cute black and white photo of the baby with the hands of Alex, Perrie and their son Axel resting on the baby's back.
Perrie is expected to have some time off from the band to focus on her new arrival, however, just days before the birth, Little Mix confirmed a brand new Greatest Hits album to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
The new album, titled 'Between Us', will arrive in November and feature both old hits and brand new tracks.
