Teenager jailed after using Roblox to harass underage girl

A teenager has been jailed after using the popular online gaming platform Roblox to harass an underage girl from Greater Manchester.
Carlo Tritta, 19, from Eastleigh in Hampshire, met the girl online in January 2025, before turning up at her house in December that year.
He pleaded guilty to a number of offences, including making indecent images of a child and engaging in sexual communications with a child.
Speaking on condition on anonymity, the victim's mother told KISS XTRA that she had discovered the communications on her daughter's phone.
“It wasn’t a sinister message," she said. "But the way she reacted, she didn’t want me to look at her phone. She’s not like that and it made me realise that I needed to go through her phone.”
She then revealed she had spotted Tritta outside their family home, in what she described as a "bewildering" moment.
“I had two weeks of harassment from this person.
"Coming to my house, Moonpig cards, threatening to my daughter, social services, contacting her friends at school and loads of people.
"It went on for two weeks and I felt like I was losing it.
"I was thinking I’m constantly phoning the police up and nothing was happening, until it did. After two weeks he was arrested and he was remanded and it was like a bit of relief.”
The mum has appealed for other parents to be aware of who their children are talking to on Roblox, which allows users to connect in virtual chatrooms and play games.
She said: "“My daughter doesn’t hang about on streets. She doesn’t really go out. I’ve always thought, I’ve got it good here. She’s safe, she’s at home, she’s not wanting to go out all the time. And they’re not safe at home. You just don’t realise.
"If you’d asked me last year, if this would be happening, I’d say no. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody and any child at any age.”
Tritta has been sentenced to two years and four months in custody, has been given a restraining order and added to the sex offenders register for 10 years.
