Authorities in north-west London responded to an attempted arson attack at the Kenton United Synagogue overnight, according to the Community Security Trust (CST).

The charity highlighted a series of incidents targeting the Jewish community, including previous attacks in Finchley, Golders Green, and Hendon.

In the latest incident, minor smoke damage occurred in an internal room, but thankfully, there were no injuries or significant structural damage.

The CST spokesperson thanked the Met Police and London Fire Brigade for their prompt response and continued efforts in safeguarding the Jewish community during this challenging time.

The charity is offering support to the synagogue and working closely with the police to identify those responsible for the attack.

They encourage heightened vigilance and urge members of the community to report any suspicious activity immediately to both the police and CST.
