Kensington Gardens in London has been reopened to the public after police carried out a search in response to the discovery of suspicious items.

A powdered substance in two jars prompted the police investigation, along with an online video claiming that dangerous substances were sent by drones to the nearby Embassy of Israel.

Specialist officers assessed the items and determined they posed no threat to public safety.

Commander Helen Flanagan from the Counter Terrorism Policing London team expressed gratitude to the public for their patience during the investigation.

"Although the items found have been assessed as being non-hazardous, we continue to investigate whether they may have any link to the online video," Flanagan said.

The police continue to work closely with the embassy and its security team, ensuring safety measures are in place.

Members of the public are encouraged to report anything suspicious by contacting the police or using online resources.
