A sign for Plymouth Marina has been erected … in Falmouth.
It’s 70 miles away from the right spot. The fact it also points to the Greenbank Hotel suggests that it was tailor-made for Falmouth.
It's been put up next to the Sainsbury’s roundabout, at the entrance to the town.
The sign has been removed.
A spokesperson for Cornwall Council said: “While Plymouth Marina is worthy of a tourist sign in the right location, this particular sign was not made to our specification. It will be replaced and the cost met by the manufacturer.”
