The pink bodied sea slug - Babakina anadoni - has been reported to the Marine Biological Association.

Seen in rock pools at Hannafore in Looe, the creature is usually found in warm sea waters, originally off the west coast of Spain, Portugal and France, but has recently been found around the UK.

The colourful creature may seems friendly at first glance but it is considered to be poisonous to predators but is not typically dangerous to humans unless ingested.

Known for being one of the most colourful creatures in the sea, it is advised not to touch them.

Though their presence is exciting and a spectacular sighting, it raises concerns for climate change as the sea slugs are moving towards warmer waters in the UK.
