Prisoner hands himself in after three days, as manhunt continues for migrant
Billy Smith handed himself in to HMP Wandsworth.
William Smith has handed himself back into custody, after he was released in error from HMP Wandsworth on Monday 3rd November.
Surrey Police said Billy Smith handed himself in to HMP Wandsworth after a manhunt was launched following his accidental release.
In a statement the force said: "We are cancelling our appeal to help find wanted 35-year-old William Smith who was released in error from HMP Wandsworth on Monday, 3 November.
"Smith handed himself in to HMP Wandsworth today."
Algerian national Brahim Kaddour-Cherif, who's 24, was also wrongly released last Wednesday, and the search for him continues.
Extra attention's been on the Prison Service following migrant sex offender Hadush Kebatu's release from Chelmsford, instead of being taken to an immigration removal centre.
