Cheltenham Festival 2025: Tens of thousands expected for Gold Cup day
Today is the last day of the four day horse racing festival.
Gold Cup Day is the 4th and final day of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival.
So far the festival has been filled with excitement and drama with many favourites falling and failing to find a win.
We also saw two of Michael O’Sullivan’s past horses win back to back on Wednesday in what many people said was a sign he was watching over them.
Today the Gold Cup champion will be crowned and many trainers and jockeys will be hoping to make history.
Galopin Des Champs is one of the favourites for the Gold Cup trophy after picking it up for the past two festivals.
The Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup Steeple Chase will take place at 4pm and will have they eyes of the world on it for one of the most notable races in the horse racing calendar.
Horse trainer Jamie Snowden told us what it means to be a part of the world-famous festival.
