Flights at Bristol Airport have resumed after operations were temporarily halted due to a runway defect.

The issue led to a suspension of flights yesterday evening, but repairs were completed overnight, allowing the airport to reopen at 8am on 8th August.

Flights affected during the suspension were either cancelled or diverted to alternate airports.

Passengers are advised to check with airlines regarding any flight disruptions.

A Bristol Airport spokesperson apologised to affected customers and underscored the priority of passenger and staff safety, which prompted the precautionary suspension for necessary runway repairs.
