Metal Merch Day encourages rock music fans to wear their favourite merchandise in support of registered charity, Metal For Good.

Following the wildly successful inaugural Metal Merch Day in 2023, the event has returned annually, and this year it takes place on Friday 23rd October 2026.

You can wear your favourite, oldest, loudest or most ridiculous piece of music merch to work, school, college, the gym or from the comfort of your own home. There are no rules.

It could be your favourite band T-shirt, full corpse paint, some Rob Halford-inspired leather or the official 2026 Metal Merch Day T-shirt. Rock, metal, punk, alternative and everything in between is welcome.

If you decide to take part, you can make a small donation (suggested £5 if you can afford it) at the Metal Merch Day JustGiving page RIGHT HERE and share a photo using #MMD26.

Metal Merch Day T-shirts:

This year, there are two T-shirt designs from Funeral for a Friend and Theory of a Deadman that are completely exclusive to Metal Merch Day.

Costing £30 and available to order HERE, sales of the T-shirts will raise vital funds to support community projects around the UK using the power of music to change lives.

The official Metal Merch Day T-shirt is also on sale in various colours HERE for a very reasonable £25, and it features a very metal image of skeleton rocker.

Metal Merch Day auction:

Metal For Good is once again hosting a very special auction HERE, and the star lot is undoubtedly a black Epiphone guitar signed by Black Label Society guitar behemoth Zakk Wylde.

There are also items from Tony Iommi, Hundred Reasons, Funeral for a Friend, Don Broco and many more.

By the end of 2026, Metal For Good will have supported more than 30 projects and distributed almost £50,000 in funding. Together, these projects are supporting mental health and wellbeing, helping young people thrive and amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities.

Every T-shirt bought, donation made and auction bid placed helps them fund even more brilliant grassroots organisations. Previously funded projects include The Music Works, Heads Above The Waves and Gig Buddies.
