Limp Bizkit to start leaking songs and release sixth album 'very soon'

Limp Bizkit have confirmed they will start leaking new songs “very soon” before unleashing their long gestating sixth studio album to the world.
The nu-metal legends sparked into activity recently by announcing a London and Manchester shows for 2022, and embarking on a North American tour with a new-look Fred Durst.
However, not long after the tour had kicked off, Limp Bizkit scrapped more than a dozen US shows including Aftershock, Blue Ridge, Rebel Rock and Rocklahoma “out of an abundance of caution” in light of the ever-developing Covid-19 pandemic.
In very bittersweet news, Limp Bizkit posted an Instagram story last night (25th August) saying all their 2021 shows have now been axed but they’re going to start dropping new material soon.
"To be more clear as some promoters are a bit behind on keeping you updated,” Limp Bizkit wrote.
“All of our scheduled performances were canceled weeks ago (yes, we are all fine, thank you).
“New songs will begin to leak, one after the other in rapid succession very soon.
“Soon thereafter, our new album will be released."
Limp Bizkit previously played new song 'Dad Vibes' through the sound system at Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago last month.
In an interview with Avenged Sevenfold bassist Johnny Christ on his Drinks with Johnny podcast last June, Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland blamed Fred Durst’s perfectionism for the new album delay.
Wes said the band have tried seven times to finish the record but an “unsatisfied” Fred Durst has “thrown away” his vocals on each occasion.
Elsewhere during the chat, Wes confirmed it’s doubtful the new record will now be called ‘Stampede Of The Disco Elephants’ and he hailed his guitars and music on the album as “the best stuff I’ve ever done as a musician.”
Limp Bizkit’s shows in London and Manchester next July are completely and utterly sold out.

Wes debuted this costume in June 2025 for Limp Bizkit's turn as a support act for Metallica at Levi's Stadium, California in June 2025. Seemingly taking inspiration from the Mexican tradition Day of the Dead, Wes donned a skull mask complete with mohican and a yellow suit featuring cartoon people. He wore the costume again in August 2025 for Reading and Leeds Festival.
