Biffy Clyro Shine At Kerrang! Radio

On a monumental week for the mighty Biffy Clyro – one that has seen them storm towards the chart summit with their epic double album ‘Opposites’ and spend five days shining under our spotlight – Simon, Ben and James dropped by Kerrang! Radio HQ for a scintillating acoustic set.

Looking relaxed and, somewhat bizarrely, fully clothed, the trio transformed their gritty, pulsating classics into raw stripped back gems in front of a crowd of ecstatic competition winners.

Kicking off with ‘Opposites’ opener ‘Different People’, the genuinely affecting number with its infectious “I am going home forever and ever more” refrain led nicely onto a devastatingly brilliant version of current single ‘Black Chandelier’.

After joking about the competition winners “skiving from work and university”, ‘Stingin' Belle’ was dramatically reinterpreted from its driving original form into a lighters-in-the-air anthem.

Briefly dipping into their back-catalogue, ‘Mountains’ was spine-tingling gorgeous before the undoubted ‘Opposites’ zenith ‘Biblical’ lived up to its epic name.

Ending on a poignant high, the brilliant ‘God & Satan' ensured that everyone wanted more.
