Steve Wright, known as the Suffolk Strangler, has been interviewed in prison regarding unsolved cases but is not currently designated as a suspect in any of them, according to Suffolk Police.

Wright, aged 68, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 40 years in prison earlier this year for the 1999 abduction and murder of schoolgirl Victoria Hall.

The serial killer had previously admitted to the kidnap and murder of Hall, who disappeared on 19th September 1999 in a village near Felixstowe. The night before, he had attempted to abduct 22-year-old Emily Doherty.

Wright, a former steward on the QE2, was already serving a whole-life sentence for the murder of five women in 2006.

Suffolk Police stated, "He is not currently a declared suspect on any unsolved case, but the potential for his involvement is always considered as we review cold cases. In cases where we have DNA, we have sought to use it to eliminate him from inquiries."

Following his conviction and sentencing for Victoria Hall's murder earlier this year, Wright has been interviewed in prison regarding other unsolved cases.

He was not questioned again about the 2006 murders for which he was previously convicted.
