Man charged with Battersea fatal stabbing

A 46-year-old man has been charged with murder in relation to a fatal stabbing that occurred in Battersea.

Police responded to reports of an altercation involving a group of men on Thessaly Road, Battersea, at 18:12hrs on Monday, 2nd March.

Officers, accompanied by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, attended the scene where 25-year-old Tai Folkes was treated before being taken to hospital.

Despite efforts to save him, Mr. Folkes was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

His family is receiving support from specialist officers during this difficult time.

On 9th March, Asher Edwards, from Hemans Street, Lambeth, was arrested in the Perry Bar area of Birmingham on suspicion of murder.

Edwards was charged with murder on 10th March and is scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court later today, 11th March.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to seek understanding of the circumstances surrounding the altercation and fatal stabbing.
