Investigation launched after man dies at Tata Steel Plant in Corby
Northamptonshire Police are investigating alongside the Health and Safety Executive.

A worker has died after an incident at the Tata Steel plant in Corby.
Police were called to the facility in Weldon Road at about 1pm yesterday to reports of the sudden death of a man.
A police investigation into the incident is now taking place alongside the HSE (Health and Safety Executive)."
A Tata Steel spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a worker has been fatally injured in an incident at our Corby site."
“We are currently investigating and are cooperating fully with the Police and Health & Safety Executive.
“Our heartfelt sympathies go out to our colleague’s friends and family.”
Simon Rielly, leader of Corby Town Council said: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of a worker at the Tata Steel site in Corby. On behalf of Corby Town Council, I offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the individual concerned. This is a devastating loss, and our thoughts are with all who are grieving.”
