Gravesend investigation leads to charges in teen rape case
Five individuals charged following police inquiry

Five individuals have been charged in connection with the alleged rape of a teenage girl in Gravesend, following an investigation by Kent Police.
Reports were received by police on 21st April 2026 stating that a teenage girl had been raped at a private property on Salisbury Road between 25th March and 19th April.
An investigation was promptly launched, resulting in the arrest of two men and three boys on 21st and 22nd April.
Ionut Dobre, 33, from Cleanthus Road, Woolwich, has been charged with rape alongside two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old, all from Gravesend.
Benone Inofte, 46, residing on Salisbury Road, Gravesend, has been charged with aiding and abetting a rape.
All charged individuals appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 24th April and are scheduled to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 22nd May.
The two men have been remanded into custody.
Two of the boys have been placed in youth detention, while the third boy has been released into the care of the local authority.
