Appeal after man struck by two vehicles on M6
The collision happened on the southbound carriageway at Junction 27

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a man was seriously injured following a collision on the M6 in Lancashire.
At around 9.35pm last night (3 April), a male pedestrian reportedly fell from a bridge on the southbound carriageway at Junction 27.
He was struck by two vehicles, and was then taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The drivers of a HGV and a Vauxhall both stopped at the scene. Nobody has been arrested and they are being treated as witnesses to the collision
Due to contact officers had with the pedestrian earlier in the day, Lancashire Police has voluntarily referred itself to the IOPC (Independent Office for Police Conduct).
The motorway was closed in both directions but has since re-opened.
Sgt Joe Calvert, from our Road Policing Unit, said: “As a result of this incident, a man is currently in hospital in a life-threatening condition. Our thoughts are with him and his loved ones at this time.
“If you were driving in the area at the time and saw anything which could help our investigation or have dashcam footage, please contact the police as soon as possible.”
