Jazz FM's acclaimed interview series The Music That Made Me is back for a seventh season, bringing listeners an intimate look at the lives, careers and musical inspirations of some of the biggest names in jazz, soul and blues.

Hosted by Nigel Williams, the weekly programme sees leading artists selecting the records, musicians and moments that helped shape their sound, while reflecting on the journeys that took them to the top of their profession.
The new series launched on Sunday 19 July with a fascinating conversation with Courtney Pine CBE, the groundbreaking British saxophonist, educator and founder of the Jazz Warriors, who discussed the music that inspired his pioneering career.
This Sunday (26 July), Nigel is joined by acclaimed Nashville singer and pianist Kandace Springs, whose blend of jazz, soul and R&B has earned her a devoted international following.
The series continues throughout the summer with an impressive line-up of guests, including Michael League, the visionary bandleader behind multi-Grammy-winning collective Snarky Puppy; legendary UK soul singer and broadcaster Mica Paris MBE; Grammy-winning Brazilian vocalist and pianist Eliane Elias; and Philadelphia soul icon Jean Carne, renowned for her remarkable five-octave vocal range.
