About Leo Green

Leo has lived in the world of jazz being the son of legendary jazz broadcaster and saxophonist Benny Green and follows in his father’s footsteps in both fields.

As an acclaimed saxophonist, arranger, bandleader, festival director and broadcaster who lives and breathes the music we play on Jazz FM, with a “little black book” of contacts that reads more like a “yellow pages” he’s so well connected with friends across the music industry, having performed alongside artists like Sir Paul McCartney and Jerry Lee Lewis. He is also the collaborator of choice for Sir Van Morrison and heads up The Van Morrison Alumni Band. He also has his own band – The Leo Green Experience –that he takes on the road alongside his London residency at nightclub One NinetyFour on Piccadilly in London.

Having hosted a number of series on Jazz FM over the years, Leo is excited to be back and joining the permanent Sunday lineup on Jazz FM

Leo Green: “I am so happy to be back on Jazz FM every Sunday night, for two hours of the greatest swing and jazz of all time. It’s a station I love and have a real affinity with and I can promise that for our two hours together every Sunday evening, the world will seem like a better place!”
