Twenty-time Grammy Award winner Pat Metheny returns to the Barbican in 2026 with the latest evolution of his celebrated project. SIDE EYE III showcases Metheny’s enduring dedication to mentoring the next generation of jazz innovators while exploring fresh sonic territories.

Joining Pat Metheny is Chris Fishman (piano and keyboards), Jermaine Paul (bass) and Joe Dyson (drums). Together, this stellar lineup brings a bold, genre-defying sound that reflects both deep musical tradition and fearless experimentation.

Evolving the platform with new music alongside reimagined classics, SIDE EYE III offers a rare opportunity to experience a unique and vital musical collaboration live on stage.

A tireless performer, Metheny has spent much of his life on the road, often presenting more than 100 concerts a year since becoming a bandleader in the 1970s. Today, he remains one of the most influential figures in jazz, continuing to pursue his own creative projects while championing both emerging artists and established veterans as they bring their artistic visions to life.
