Woman dies after car hits two pedestrians at Corby bus stop
A man has been arrested as police appeal for witnesses
A woman has died after a car left the road and struck two pedestrians at a bus stop in Corby.
The crash happened on the morning of Friday 11th September 2026.
Police said a black Vauxhall Insignia was travelling along Willow Brook Road at around 7.30am and appeared to be turning left into Fotheringhay Road when it left its intended path.
The car collided with a bus stop, striking two pedestrians before coming to rest at a nearby house.
The female pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second pedestrian, a teenage boy, suffered minor injuries.
A 55-year-old man from Corby has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
He remains in police custody.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit want to hear from anyone who saw the crash, or who has CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage of it or of the moments leading up to it.
