Two arrested after man’s death in Newcastle-under-Lyme
Police have launched a murder investigation

Police were called to Orme Road at around 5pm on Friday, 4th September, alerted by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Despite receiving immediate medical attention, the injured man was transported to hospital, where he later died.
Detective Inspector Stephen Ward stated, "We are working hard to understand more about what happened leading up to the driver of the vehicle losing his life."
The sentiment reflects the ongoing investigative efforts to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A 20-year-old and a 22-year-old, both from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, have been arrested and remain in custody while investigations continue.
The police are conducting forensic examinations, CCTV reviews, and house-to-house inquiries as part of their investigative processes, which remain in early stages.
Specially-trained officers are offering support to the deceased man's next of kin during this difficult time.
The police are appealing for any information, particularly from individuals with relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from Orme Road, Rotterdam, and Mill Bank Place.
