Two people injured following fairground ride incident in Rotherham

The Maltby Crags Fair in Rotherham faced an emergency situation when three individuals were injured on a fairground ride.
Those affected include two young people, aged 11 and 13, and a 21-year-old woman, all of whom were transported to hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, the fairground shut its doors last night (Friday 11th September 2026).
In response to the situation, Blyth Road was temporarily closed between Muglet Lane and Victoria Street to facilitate safe evacuation from the fairground, but has since been reopened.
Emergency services remain attentive on site to ensure public safety and manage any ongoing concerns.
