Liam Gallagher’s name is suddenly in the frame for The Celebrity Traitors, fuelling talk that the Oasis legend could be heading to the Scottish Highlands for the next celebrity run of the hit BBC series.
The idea of the famously outspoken singer taking on the show’s twists, mind games and betrayals has quickly sparked social media attention.
Liam has fuelled speculation that he could be heading to Ardross Castle after revealing he’s been asked to appear on The Celebrity Traitors.
The Oasis lead singer replied to a fan on X who asked if he’d do The Traitors by simply writing: 'I’ve been asked', instantly throwing his name into the mix for the upcoming second celebrity series.
While Liam didn't offer a solid yes or no, the tantalising tease comes as rumours swirl about who will join the next charity edition of the hit BBC reality format, following a record-breaking debut season featuring stars like Sir Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith and eventual winner Alan Carr.
Fans have already begun imagining Liam stalking the corridors the castle as either a ruthless Traitor or outspoken Faithful.
One post on X read: 'Omg, you have to do it.' While another user wrote: 'You’d make a great Traitor.'
A third fan chimed: 'You’d bring so many viewers', with a fourth adding: 'Do it!!!' (sic)
What happened in Celebrity Traitors Season 1?
The first Celebrity Traitors (October 2025) saw 19 famous faces head to Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, with three stars secretly appointed as Traitors and the remaining 16 playing as Faithfuls in a tense charity game of bluff and betrayal fronted by Claudia Winkleman.
Big‑name contestants included Alan Carr, Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith, Charlotte Church, Jonathan Ross, Clare Balding, Tom Daley, Kate Garraway, Nick Mohammed and Cat Burns, who were put through elaborate missions to build the prize pot while nightly Round Tables led to dramatic banishments as everyone tried to work out who was lying to them.
After a final mission pushed the charity prize fund up to £87,500, the closing episode delivered a string of shocks as suspicions turned on singer Cat Burns, who was banished at the last Round Table before comedian Alan Carr revealed he had been a Traitor all along and was crowned the sole winner, taking the entire £87,500 for his chosen cause.
When will Celebrity Traitors return for Season 2?
The BBC has confirmed that The Celebrity Traitors will return for a second series in 2026 following its hugely successful first run.
Reports suggest the show is likely to follow a similar schedule to last year’s outing, with new episodes expected to air in the autumn, around October or November.
Here are the famous faces we'd love to see on The Celebrity Traitors:

Stacey Solomon
Stacey Solomon's warmth and humour would make her incredibly likeable by her fellow contestants and we don't think she'd be suspected as a Traitor!
Ken Bruce
With decades of experience in the radio business, Greatest Hits Radio presenter Ken Bruce would be great under pressure as a Traitor, not to mention the fact he's trusted and likeable!
Tyson Fury
He's a champion boxer with both physical and psychological powers, and whilst he's currently in retirement (for now anyways), Tyson Fury's unpredictability would make for great TV.

Lily Allen
Following the release of her latest album 'West End Girl', it seems singer Lily Allen wouldn't put up with any BS in during the round tables, creating great TV!
Leah Williamson
As the captain of England's Lionesses and Arsenal, Leah Williamson certainly has the leadership qualities needed for the game!
Judi Love
Judi Love would be able to use her charm and humour to create bonds in the castle, making her a very trustworthy candidate. Just what you need to be successful on the show!

Dermot O'Leary
Speaking to our friends over at heatworld, Dermot said: "I'd find it difficult to turn down Celebrity Traitors because I really, really enjoyed it. But the problem is – aside from being away for that long – I think I'd be a terrible Traitor. They've done so such a great job of amping up the stress and I hate the idea of people thinking ill of me, especially my peers, so I'd worry if I was part of that level of subterfuge. But it's been a great series."
Liam Gallagher
Liam Gallagher has fuelled rumours that he could be heading to Ardross Castle after revealing he's 'been asked' to appear on The Celebrity Traitors. The Oasis frontman replied to a user on X, who asked if he'd do The Traitors by responding: 'I've been asked', instantly throwing his hat in the ring for the upcoming second celebrity series.
