Thames Valley Police have confirmed the death of a 14-year-old boy who got into difficulty in the River Thames near Donnington Bridge, Oxford, yesterday.
Thames Valley Police are treating the death as unexplained but not suspicious, and the investigation is ongoing.
The boy's family has been informed and offered support.

Emergency Response
The incident occurred around 5.45pm, prompting an immediate response from police, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, and South Central Ambulance Service.
Emergency services attended the scene following reports of a person in difficulty in the water, and Donnington Bridge was temporarily closed to traffic during the response.
It has since re-opened.
Emergency Services Involvement
An Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service provided an operational response alongside colleagues from the police and ambulance service to the Donnington Bridge Road area comprising fire appliances and a boat.”
One ambulance, a specialist paramedic, and an operational commander were also dispatched to the incident.
