Lampard gains another accolade as he is named LMA manager of the year

Coventry City boss Frank Lampard has been named the League Managers Association manager of the year.

He guided the Sky Blues back to the top flight and in impressive style with City being 11 points clear of second place Ipswich Town.

The likes of Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and Manchester City's departing boss Pep Guardiola were also in contention.

Completing the list of managers who could have won the award included Brentford's Keith Andrews, Aston Villa's Unai Emery, Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, Lincoln City's Michael Skubala and Bromley's Andy Woodman.

Lampard also won the Championship's version of the award.

He will be hoping his side can continue their momentum as they look to hit the ground running in the Premier League.
