Man arrested after southeast London shooting

A 30-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound in south east London is now in a stable condition in hospital, police have said.

Officers were called to Broadway in Bexleyheath at 2:15am on Sunday following reports of a shooting, the Metropolitan Police said.

The London Ambulance Service also attended the scene and treated the victim for a gunshot wound before taking him to hospital.

The police said on Monday he is now in a stable condition in hospital.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at the scene.

He was also taken to hospital due to his injuries, the force said.
