Woman charged with murder after man dies in Lowestoft

A woman has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 54-year-old man in Lowestoft.

Officers were called to Sparrow’s Nest Gardens on Friday shortly after 10pm.

Officers found a man, who was unresponsive, he was later declared deceased.

Suffolk police say subject to 'confirmation at formal inquest proceedings the deceased has been identified as Gary Grant, aged 54, from Lowestoft. The victim’s family members are being support by specialist officers.'

A 28-year-old Amber Stebbings, of no fixed address, has subsequently been charged with murder.

She has been remanded in custody to appear before Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

A police scene put in place at the location of the incident has now been lifted.
