Woman dies after falling from block of flats in Southampton
Police have started a murder investigation
The death of a woman who fell from a block of flats in Southampton is being treated as murder.
A 25 year old died in hospital after being found with significant injuries in Cuckmere Lane at around 2.43pm on Thursday 28th August 2025.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are looking to identify a man they believe was at the property at the time.
A spokesperson said:
"Officers have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a woman in Southampton.
"We were called at 2:43pm on Thursday 28 August, by ambulance colleagues, after a woman was reported to have fallen from a block of flats on Cuckmere Lane.
"On arrival, a 25-year-old woman was located with significant injuries on Cuckmere Lane. She was taken to hospital and sadly died on 29 August.
"Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
"Officers are pursuing lines of enquiry to identify a man within the property at the time of the incident.
