A car has been recovered from the River Nene as the search or a missing 18-year-old man continues.

Cambridgeshire Police say the blue Volkswagen Polo was retrieved with assistance from specialist dive teams, in Wisbech St Mary on Sunday (22 March).

Emergency services have been present at North Brink since the 17th March, following reports of a car containing five people going into the water. 18 year old Declan Berry has not been seen since.

16-year-old Eden Bunn from Sutton Bridge was recovered from the water on 18th March.

Three other individuals who were in the vehicle, two girls aged 16 and an 18-year-old boy, managed to get out.

Detective Inspector Craig Wheeler, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “We are still actively searching for Declan along the River Nene.

"We continue to support his family, who were present today when the vehicle was recovered. My thoughts remain with the families and friends of Eden Bunn and Declan Berry during this awful time.”

Police are requesting witnesses and dashcam footage related to the incident.
