Two-year-old boy dies after being found unresponsive at Wigan nursery

His death is not being treated as suspicious

A two year old boy has died after being found unresponsive at a nursery.

Police say they were called to Parbold Douglas Church of England Academy, near Wigan at around 2:45pm on Friday.

The toddler was rushed to hospital but later died.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course.

His family have asked for their privacy to be respected.

Lancashire Police have offered condolences to the boy's family.
