Two people injured in crash near Wigan toy shop

A car smashed into a wall in the Robin Park area this afternoon

Two people have been injured - one severely - after a car crashed into a wall in Wigan.

The collision happened close to a toy shop in the town just over two hours ago today (Tuesday 31st December 2024)

We're told one of the victims is a teenager.

Specialist fire officers and other emergency services have been working at the scene.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust said:

"We can confirm that we received a call at 14:48 for an RTC in which a car has crashed into a wall near Smyths toy shop on Robin Park, Wigan.

"We sent various resources to the scene in which two females have been injured. One of the patients has been taken to Wigan Hospital and the other patient has suffered severe injury and has been transported to Salford Royal Hospital."
