Train services across Surrey and Sussex are facing delays and cancellations due to a landslip in the Horley area.

The incident happened on Friday evening, with teams from National Rail working at the site to repair the damage.

It means trains between Purley/Redhill and Gatwick Airport are affected, which National Rail confirmed will continue for the rest of Saturday (5 July).

In a post on X, Southern Rail said: "Further investigations have identified a defective section of track in the area. Engineers remain on site and are continuing to assess the situation."
