Teenager charged with attempted murder after Oldbury stabbing

A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Oldbury.

Police were called to Brunel Road in the early hours of yesterday morning (4 January) after a the boy was found with a serious knife wound.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A boy, aged 15 from Sandwell, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court tomorrow morning (6 January).

West Midlands Police said there will be extra officers in the coming days to offer reassurance to the public.
