Teenage girl dies in Cleethorpes collision

A teenage girl who sustained life threatening injuries in a road traffic collision in Cleethorpes on Saturday, 28 June has sadly died.

The incident occurred at around 8.27pm on Cambridge Street, when it was reported that a grey BMW saloon, travelling towards St Peters Avenue, was in collision with a pedestrian crossing the road.

Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 16-year-old girl, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries. She has since died in hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday, 5 July).

Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident, to contact them.
