A takeaway in Stoke-on-Trent has partially collapsed after a car crashed into it.

Emergency services were called to Scotia Road in the Burslem area of the city at around 6am this morning (Sunday 20th July 2025).

Staffordshire Police have confirmed a man was taken to hospital following the collision.

Officers say his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said:

"We were called to Scotia Road at 6am today following reports of a car colliding with a building.

"One man has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time.

"The occupants of the building were not injured.

"Officers are at the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

"Our investigation is ongoing."
