A 62-year-old woman who allegedly supported the proscribed terror group Hamas is facing a trial in 2027.

Sarah Wilkinson, of Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, is charged with two counts of encouraging terrorism in tweets and two counts of disseminating a terrorist video on social media platform X in 2024.

She is also charged with two counts of expressing support for a terrorist organisation.

Wilkinson faces a further charge of failing to comply with a notice issued under Section 49 of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 to supply her mobile phone pin code in November 2024.

On Friday, she appeared at the Old Bailey before Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb.

The judge set a plea hearing for March 13 2026 and a provisional trial from January 4 2027 at Birmingham Crown Court.

The defendant, who spoke to confirm her identity in the dock, was granted continued bail.
