A Royal Navy recruit has died at a military base in Cornwall following training.

It's been said that an investigation is underway, after they passed away at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint earlier this month.

A Royal Navy Spokesperson said: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm that a member of the Royal Navy died at HMS Raleigh following routine training on Tuesday 11 March.

“Our thoughts are with the family and all those affected at this sad time. An investigation into the circumstances will take place and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time”.
