Two people have been charged with murder following the death of a 3-year old boy in Woolwich.

Police were called to a hospital early last month after Isiayah Henry was admitted with serious injuries.

Following initial enquiries, a safeguarding and criminal investigation was launched by officers.

Despite best efforts of medical staff, the child died just over two weeks later on Monday, 19 January.

On Friday, 20 February, two people were charged with murder and causing/allowing the death of a child in connection with Isiayah’s death following an appearance at Woolwich Crown Court.

Tanisha Henry, 28, of St Marys Street, Woolwich and Mikael Williams, 30, of Beaconsfield Rd, SE17 will next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday, 22 April.

Isiayah’s family have been informed and continue to receive support from specialist officers.
