Police investigating further deaths of babies at hospitals where killer nurse Lucy Letby worked have submitted a fresh file of evidence to prosecutors.

Cheshire Police have been looking into a number of incidents at the Countess of Chester Hospital and Liverpool Women's Hospital, dating back to 2012.

The CPS confirmed it had received an evidence file and it would now consider if any charges can be made.

Neither police nor prosecutors have confirmed the identity of any suspects involved.

Letby, 35, is currently serving 15 whole life orders after being found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill another seven between 2015 and 2016.
