Man facing series of new charges linked to Huntingdon train stabbing attack

Anthony Williams faces seven new charges following further investigations.

A man has been charged with seven additional offences linked to incidents that occurred on 31 October, following the major investigation into the Huntingdon train incident earlier this month.

Anthony Williams, 32, of Langford Road, Peterborough, is set to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court Wednesday 19 November.

British Transport Police (BTP) had taken lead responsibility for the wider investigation into Williams and the events leading up to the Huntingdon train incident.

The further charges Williams is facing are:

  • Attempted murder of a 14-year-old boy at Henry Penn Walk, Peterborough
  • Attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) of a 28-year-old man at Viersen Platz, Peterborough
  • Attempted murder of a 22-year-old man near Pleasure Fair Meadow Road, Peterborough
  • Affray and possession of a bladed article in an incident at Ritzy Barbers in Peterborough
  • Theft of knives from Asda supermarket in Stevenage
  • Common assault of a 31-year-old man on a train travelling between Hitchin and Biggleswade
