Man confirmed dead as a result of Storm Goretti

A man in his 50s has died after a tree fell onto a caravan in the Mawgan area of Helston.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.35pm on 8th January.

Work to remove the tree and conduct further enquiries took place the following day.

The man was found deceased inside the caravan.

According to emergency services, his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
