Man charged with murder after woman's body found in St Helens

A man has been charged with murder after the body of a woman was found in St Helens.
Delia McInerney, a 64-year-old, was discovered in Gerards Court, Hawes Avenue, Clinkham Wood on Thursday, 8th January.
Police have formally identified the victim, and Delia's family has been informed.
Specialist officers are supporting them.
George Christopher Gordon, 65, of Gerards Court, Hawes Avenue, Clinkham Wood, has been charged with murder.
He also faces three counts of fraud by false representation, contrary to Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006, and a charge of theft.
Gordon is set to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Monday.
