He was pronounced dead at the scene, West Midlands Police said.

The force confirmed on Sunday afternoon that Joseph Cargill, 20, had been charged with murder.

Cargill was remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Birmingham on Monday.

“Our investigation into the incident continues and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time,” a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.
