Murder charge after man's death in Birmingham

A 31-year-old man from Birmingham has been charged with murder after another man was found injured and later died in Ladywood.

Joseph McCalmon is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today for his initial hearing.

The victim was discovered with injuries at an address on Icknield Port Road on Wednesday evening.

He was transported to the hospital, but sadly he passed away shortly afterwards.

Law enforcement have confirmed that the victim's family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
