Fifth person arrested following death of man in Barnsley

A fifth person has now been arrested after the death of 45-year-old Liam Green in Barnsley.

Police were called just before 5pm on Good Friday following a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a white Volkswagen Touareg in Rose Tree Avenue, Cudworth,

Yesterday a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.

On Saturday a 33-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on Saturday (4 April) on suspicion of murder, both have been released on bail.

While a 60-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.
