Police officer assaulted in Wellingborough

A female police officer's been assaulted by a man in Wellingborough.

It happened on Tuesday afternoon (3rd June) around 3.15pm at Mark Street.

The victim was not seriously, physically hurt in the attack.

Detectives who say that the area was busy at the time and several people filmed what happened on their phones would like to see any footage of what went on, or hear from anyone who saw, as soon as possible.
